“ We stopped in for lunch on Saturday and were pleased with the bistro. The food was fresh and tasty. The servings were very generous. While the place was practically empty, our 2 dishes came out several minutes apart. Overall we plan to enjoy this place more often, whether in person or take out. ”
“ This is THE BEST Asian food on this side of Texas, I swear. The hardest part of moving to Abilene for me was the lack of food diversity, all I wanted was some quality fried rice. This is DELICIOUS!! Thank god for these people and their knowledge of flavor. Service was great, they're so fast. I went at lunch time and got to-go, was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Obsessed, I will be back!! (Maybe tomorrow lol) ”
“ Food is always very good and a regular stop for us. Service is fast and efficient. Clean and relaxed dining room. Do wish the spring rolls with rice paper were bigger ”
“ This is my favorite spot in Abilene! Have had the lo mein, curry chicken, and udon and every one is a suprise ”
“ Seven years? Update! Still my favorite Asian restaurant in town. We have multiple favorites so it's always easy to get something different. Glenda loved the sizzling shrimp or chicken. The sweet and spicy fish would be her next pick. I go for the spicy noodle soup or the curry Mei fun. The lo mein or the curry chicken are solid picks. Their newest dish is beef stew with rice or noodles. Mian is your place for some good Asian food! ”
“ As usual, the food was very delicious and faithful to some of the food I grew up on in Japan and Hawaii. The staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous. It was a very quiet day while we were there but gent behind the counter was very cordial. Will always enjoy going there! ”
“ I remember how wonderful and fresh the lettuce (pretty sure it was "Bibb" or Butter lettuce) used to be in the ginger-dressing small salad. Sadly, today, it was iceberg lettuce with brown edges that tasted old. I don't know how long ago that changed as I haven't lived here for a few years. All the other dishes today tasted great, however, no matter how great the food, being served in a plastic container with a plastic lid dramatically takes away from the whole dining experience. Very sad. I probably won't be back--too bad so much has changed. ”
“ My wife and I tried Mian Bistro tonight for the first time. Let me just say: y'all don't know how good you have it here in Abilene! After living in such a big city (Phoenix) over the past few years, you would think that I would have found at least one decent Asian food restaurant while I was there. And trust me, I searched high and low! Nothing in Phoenix compares to the fresh delicious meal we had tonight. We tied the sesame chicken, orange chicken, spicy noodle soup, lo mein, and pot stickers. Yes, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. Everything was amazing! The flavors were so on point! Nothing had that overly salty or overly sweet issue that you often run into at lower quality Asian places. The soup was spicy, but not just spicy to be spicy; it actually had great flavor as well. The pot stickers were definitely made in house and not frozen, which is always great to see. My personal favorite was the sesame chicken, but the orange chicken was definitely a close 2nd. Everything just tasted like a good home cooked meal that was made with love. I thought moving to a city the size of Abilene meant Panda Express would be the best I could find, but I'm very glad that's not the case! 10/10. We are for sure new regulars! ”
“ Food was very good and the staff was nice. It reminds me of the west coast Asian places that are clean but sparsely furnished. I got the impression that they cater more to the to go crowd since you order at the counter and food is served in plastic to go containers. They do have a dozen or so tables for dining. Regardless, the food was very good. I had the beef and noodle summer special ordered somewhat spicy and that was exactly what I got. Ingredients seemed fresh. If you are looking for a good no frills Asian meal, this works well. ”
